Accessibility

We want Good Boys Social Club to be usable by everyone — whether you're navigating with a screen reader, a keyboard, a switch device, or just trying to read on a small screen in the sun.

What we've built

Our site aims to meet WCAG 2.1 AA, the standard most teams use to keep the web accessible. Specifically:

  • Keyboard navigation. Every interactive element — links, buttons, menus, the cart drawer — works with Tab, Shift+Tab, Enter, and Escape. No mouse required.
  • Screen reader support. Headings are ordered logically, images carry descriptive alt text, and dialogs (the menu drawer, the cart) announce themselves correctly.
  • Color contrast. Body text and interactive states meet the 4.5:1 ratio for normal text and 3:1 for large text — so copy stays legible against our cream and Hunter Green palette.
  • Motion respect. If your operating system is set to reduce motion, our reveal animations stay still. Nothing flashes, nothing scrolls past you involuntarily.
  • Forms. Every input has a visible label and clear error messaging. No mystery fields.

What we're still working on

We're a small team and accessibility is ongoing work, not a one-time checklist. If you run into something that doesn't work for you — a button that won't focus, copy you can't read, a flow that feels broken — please tell us. We'll fix it.
